About the author

Kelley Merritt is a former journalist and elementary school teacher who now works as a public relations professional in the Denver area. She will one day split her time between the mountains of Colorado and her favorite beach in Southern California to continue writing stories about the many places that live in her heart.

A Friend on the Porch was inspired by a young boy who chose to embrace his humble beginnings and continues to build memories that make him proud.
